Part-Time Foundation Degree Programme

The part-time Foundation Degree is for professionals who are already working in the addictions field, whether as paid employees or volunteers, and who want to gain a professional qualification.

The part-time course includes workplace assignments, most of which require access to a client base.

How to Apply

Part Time candidates can apply using this application form, and do not need to apply via UCAS.  This completed application must be sent to Rebecca.duffy@actiononaddiction.org.uk.

The deadline for application is 31st July 2012

Interviews will take place in July/August 2012.

Tuition Fees

Follow the link for the current fee structure. The tuition fees are set by the University of Bath and are payable directly to the University. The fee structure for those normally resident outside the EU differs from that for Home/EU students.

If you're a student from another EU country, you can apply for financial help with the cost of tuition in England. Additional help may also be available if you’re a migrant worker from an EEA (European Economic Area) country or Switzerland. You can find out more on the DirectGov website.

Further Information

The degree may be taken over 4 years on a part-time basis.  The syllabus consists of a total of 20 Units (with either 3, 6 or 12 ECTS credits), all of which must be taken, unless credited via APL.

At the beginning of each academic year, students will be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan for the coming year. This is to ensure that they will obtain enough credits to progress to the next year.

For a guide of the time spent in teaching/placement please see current timetable.  The Foundation Degree has 2 Stages.  Each Stage contains a number of Units. The Units are taught in 3, 4 and 5 day blocks at our Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies in Warminster.
