The M-PACT (UK) Project
M-PACT (UK) is the result of a growing awareness that services for children and young people suffering the consequence of parental substance misuse have been limited, fragmented or non-existent across the UK.
Following successful pilot programmes in Wiltshire, all of which were independently evaluated, the organisation realised that M-PACT had and could continue to make a difference to families suffering the consequences of substance misuse. This has been addressed by making the M-PACT programme available,
under Licence, to agencies across the UK. An M-PACT manual, together with the accredited M-PACT training course, will enable agencies and their staff to deliver M-PACT programmes in their area. Click on the following links to read the evaluation results of the pilot prorammes
M-PACT Evaluation 2007 and the results from programmes run during
2006-2011 across the UK.
Our main objective is for the M-PACT programme to be available to as many children and young people as possible to help to improve their quality of life.
Our current licenceholder sites (most with links to their local authority website) are:
Cornwall Local Authority
Dorset
Essex

"The M-PACT course has given me the skills to deliver the programme but also, all of the learning can be transferred into all my work with children and families. It's re-ignited my passion to practice."
